Guild and Junior Guild Awards

 

 

President’s Award

Established in 2009, the recipient of this award a member who has, in the past Guild year, demonstrated exemplary leadership through the development of members, programs and/or resources to enhance the mission of the Guild of Family Service Greensboro.  
A successful nominee for this award will show proven exemplary leadership through one of the following areas or combination
of areas:

  • The creation or success of a new or existing Guild event

  • Growth and retention of membership

  • Financial stewardship

 

Current and Past Presidents are not eligible for this award.

 

Spirit of the Guild Award

Established in 2009 to recognize a Guild member who embodies the mission of the Guild as demonstrated through their donation of time, talents and resources.  This member demonstrates exceptional service to the Guild by serving as an ambassador of the Guild, promoting goodwill in the community and within the organization. The award recipient is an Active member and regularly participates in Guild events. The Guild created the Spirit of the Guild Award as a way to thank and honor members who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service.

 

Open to all Guild members. 

 

Futurity Award

Established in 2013, the Futurity Award is presented to a member who has been in the Guild no more than three years and has shown extraordinary service in support of Guild event, emphasizing fundraising and/or membership development. The Guild created the Futurity Award as a means to recognize exemplary new members who immediately “jump right in” and conveys the Guild’s appreciation for their contributions. This award acknowledges commitment and service within a short period of time and encourages new member participation, longevity and loyalty.

 

Open to all Guild members with three years of service or less.

Each year, the following Junior Guild awards are presented:

Leadership Award

Established in 2009 to recognize a Jr. Guild member who demonstrates exemplary leadership through the development of members, programs and/or resources to enhance the mission of the Junior Guild.  A successful nominee will show proven exemplary leadership through one or a combination of the following areas:

  • The creation or success of a new or existing Guild event

  • Growth and retention of membership

  • Development of resources (fundraising)

 

Eligible Award Recipient:  High School Seniors

 

Spirit of the Junior Guild Award 

Established in 2009 to recognize a Junior Guild member who embodies the mission of the Junior Guild as demonstrated through their donation of time, talents and resources.  This member demonstrates exceptional service to the Junior Guild by serving as an ambassador of the Junior Guild, promoting goodwill in our community and within our organization. This individual is an active member and regularly participates in Junior Guild events. The Junior Guild created the Spirit of the Junior Guild Award program as a way to thank and honor a high school junior or sophomore who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspires others to engage in volunteer service.
